How Mobupps promoted finance app OLYMP TRADE

Background

An easy and convenient mobile app from OLYMP TRADE, an international licensed broker. 

A professional trading platform that aimed at traders of any trading skill. Olymp Trade team teach users how to earn profits on their app.

Challenge

OlympTrade approached Mobupps to get support in promoting its finance app for IOS on premium platform Yahoo Gemini, myTarget and our direct ad network of apps.

The client was looking for big volumes of new users in a short period with positive ROI after 30 days in Russia and Thailand with a further option to add more GEOs in future.

The goals were set :

eCPA / deposit / = 100$ .

ROI 50% after 30 days

Idea

Mobupps utilize its agency and ad network solution to plan and acquire a high amount of quality engaged users, using native, interstitial, standard banners ad formats and video.

Mobupps plan was to optimize the campaign by creating a dedicated private network of top performing media and audience segments around the client app.

Making deep analysis after creating such white list of media and audience Mobupps planned to increase the volumes in the media and audience segments with the highest ROI.

Mobupps decided to put couple intermediate KPI goals for optimizing the campaign in earliers stages, starting from the first day of the user’s engagement, controlling the media quality during all this period till Mobupps can analyze the main result (after 30 days).

The goals were set:

RR1 minimum 23% and higher than 30%

Result

After first 3 days of the campaign the CR was 0.15% and an average percentage of loyal users 30%. Mobupps did first circle of optimization and in couple days got the CR increased up to 0.2% and loyal users 42%. While the campaign was on optimization stage Mobupps account management team capped the daily budget at 1000 installs what gave us opportunity to save the client budget on learning stage and involve all our premium sources with separation of budgets for each of them: the standard ad formats got 40% of the cap, native format got 40% and video format other 20%.

After the second circle of optimization, only best-performing sources were left where loyal user percentage was between 42%-65 % and paying user precentage was 3-5%.

Mobupps increased the cap for those best-performing sources and audience segments and reached the KPI goal with more than 60% ROI. The campaigns were lasting for more than 4 months and keep running.
